PARKS WITH CAMPINGROUNDS
North Bingham County Historical Park
Located off of I-15, Exit 108 (The Shelley Exit). Travel eastbound. The park entrance is on the south side of the road and on the east side of the Snake River Bridge. The North Bingham County Historical Park takes you back to the era from our nation’s history. North Bingham Park offers educational opportunities and contain unique historical buildings for you to explore. The Park also has an R.V. Park, boat access to the Snake River, facilities for reunions and company parties, a playground, fields for recreational sports, and a tennis/volleyball court.
Rose Park Ponds
Entrance is just east of the Rose Road/ I-15 overpass. Rose Park features a 40-acre fishing lake and fine indoor and outdoor archery ranges. There are camping spots available; however whater and electricity are not provided.
Sportsman’s Park
Located off Highway 39 at the end of Boat Dock Road. Sportsman’s Park is a gorgeous 30-acre park featuring a multi-use area with facilities and activites for a variety of recreational uses. Lcoated next to the American Falls Reservoir, it provides access to the lake with two boat ramps. Sportsman’s Park is popular for ice fishing along with duck and goose hunting. There are two large group shelters, two playgrounds, three restrooms, horseshoe pits and volleyball courts. RV parking with hookups are also available. There is a paved hiking/bicycle trail along the rim of the reservoir. The trailhead is at the park and is 1.1 miles long. Special features are two observation platforms with a pavilion and benches for user to oberve the waterfowl.
