Every week the chamber receives phone calls from potentially new Blackfoot residents. They call us for requests of relocation pakets. Some of these future residents also request specific information such as meeting places, membership information, real estate agents, schools and service organizations. These packets sent out by the Chamber can be a great opportunity for our members to introduce themselves to new residents.

the Greater Blackfoot Area Chamber of Commerce does it sbest to tell not only current area residents but also future ones as well what its memvership has to offer. As a member of the Chamber of Commerce please know that we are always here to help you with your advertising ideas and can offer suggestions about what has worked for other members to help provide growth to their businesses. One of our most valuable tools is the used of the two marquee signs. If you have an event, a promotion, or are just looking for a new advertising venue, give us a call. A discount is given to chamber members for the marquee rentals and they fill up fast. Each month we are turning people away because teh marquees are booked before they call. I encourage you to call with your dates as soon as possible the ensure a better chance of availability. I can tell you that as of me writing this article, the next marquees we have available for 2009 isn't until June. I realize that sounds impossible but people are learning to call quickly and after June each month for the rest of the year only has a week or two available here and there. Hopefully soon I will be able to purchase a 2010 calendar to appease all of you who want to plan for next year.

Another coss-effective way to advertise your business is by bringing us in something to hand out for you. If you have a business card or a small flier that you think would be beneficial for future residents please feel free to bring them in. We can set them in our lobby with the information from other chamber members and include them in our packets as requested. As a student of Public Relations ans Advertising, I can tell you that the best advertising is free advertising. Dropping of fliers or business cards for current of future residents to pick up in our lobby costs you nothing but a few mintures of time and has the potential to bring in dollars to your company.
